Square Enix Opens Front Mission Mobile Website Square Enix has opened the official website for the newest addition to its cellphone line-up. Titled Front Mission Mobile the MSF/Winds-developed game is the strategy series first installment available for cellphones. The game will take players to Halfman Island in the year 2089, one year before the events of the original Front Mission. The series' two rival factions O.C.U. and U.S.N. are preparing their armies for war. Since these preparations take time, both sides hire mercenaries to protect their joint border. The player will assume the role of one of these mercenaries, siding with either O.C.U. or U.S.N. The weapon of choice is the same as in every of the four previous installments, giantic robots named Wanzers. At the mercenary camp, players can prepare their Wanzers and select their missions. In the camps's hangar Wanzers can be customized in various ways: Three portions of the robot's body can be equipped with different parts. Weapons can be carried in both hands and on both shoulders. Players will have to strike a balance between short and long range weapons. Upon selecting a certain mission, they will be briefed about the mission's objectives. Afterwards they can choose the Wanzers units, which they would like to participate in the mission. Battles will be fought in the same turn-based fashion known from previous Front Mission games.
