Final Fantasy XII Single and Price Info Not only have Square been planning to release a herb drink, but they are also planning on releasing a CD single called Kibou (Hope), the theme music for Final Fantasy XII... The CD single will beat Final Fantasy XII to stores with a March 1st release. Like a lot of Merchandise two versions will be available. The CD Single can be purchased for 1,050 yen ($8.75), and a special edition with the CD and a promotional DVD featuring clips of FFXII and Taro Hakase, the composer of the theme music, which will cost 1,680 yen ($14). The Theme music is not to be confused with the Theme Song, Kiss Me Goodbye, sung by Angela Aki and composed by Nobuo Uematsu. It also seems the previously report price for Final Fantasy XII is higher than the standard price for new games. While Japanese games tend to cost the equivalent of $60 US, it seems that Final Fantasy XII will retail for $75. This price is normal for premium games with bonuses however it seems that Final Fantasy XII will not come with anything for it to be considered premium. Square-Enix did the same with Dragon Quest VIII in japan which retailed for $77. Since Dragon Quest VIII was sold for the normal price of $50 when released in North America, these is nothing to suggest that Square would or will be increasing the cost for Final Fantasy XII for it's International releases. Final Fantasy XII is Scheduled for March 16 in Japan and August 1st for North America. Although no European release date has been announced, Final Fantasy X-2 was released in Japan during mid March 2003 and it took an incredible 11 months before it reached Europe in late February 2004. If this is anything to go by, Europe still has a long wait for Final Fantasy XII but we can hope for Christmas 06. Source: GameSpot
