Sakaguchi Revealed New Kuraion Details Hironobu Sakaguchi, creater of the popular Final Fantasy series, has released new information on his third console game Kuraion (Cry On) which is being developed by his new company Mistwalker. Cry On takes place in a middle ages setting, although there will be a strong emphasis on machines. In this world, people have placed tiny creatures called "Bogles" on their rooftops to act as protective charms. Bogles were formerly powerful giants that lived in peace with humans, but they have been renamed "Soulless" because humans are bring them back to life for war. The story begins with main character, named Sally, being given the special ability to revive Bogles, an ability she gets from her father, the king. Sally decides to care for a Bogle which has the ability to speak human languages. While the Bogle starts off small and sits on Sally's shoulder, over time the player will be able to transform him into a Giant. The player will be able to switch between Sally and the Bogle, with the scale and perspective changing drastically from each character. Each time the Bogle changes it will result in a different form. For example, the player can use a stone to destroy the surroundings and attach the pieces to the Bogle in real time with each transformation differing so that the Bogle will appear as a mysterious living creature and not like a Robot. The playing style for each character will be different. The Bogle will be action oriented while Sally will have a more RPG and Puzzle style. For every 15 minutes you play as Sally, this will allow you to play as the Bogle for 1 minute. Sakaguchi is also trying to create a unique control scheme for the game and is trying to have a Hiyao Miyazaki feel when it comes to the artwork and will be cel-shaded. Sakaguchi has said the game is around 50% completed and could year up to 2 years to finished. the game should also be 30 to 40 hours long. Source: GamesAreFun
