Seiken Densetsu 4 Developer Talks About Plans Kouichi Ishii, long time developer of the Mana series, has given an interview about his current project, Seiken Densetsu 4 on the Playstation 2. Ishii mentioned that the Havoc physics engine has allowed his team to create a three-dimensional Seiken Densetsu. He is hoping that his staff will be able to absorb the knowledge gained from developing Seiken Densetsu 4 and increase their skills and abilities for what can be done with the Irish developed physics engine, who have had products they've created used in games such as Brute Force, Golden Eye: Double Agent, Evil Dead Regeneration, Half-Life 2, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and The Matrix: Path of Neo (to name a few). At first he believed that it would be difficult to develop the game for PlayStation 2 but testing quickly proved that it could be done. For the next generation of console games he didn't want to build everything from scratch but rather foster technological and planning strength on PlayStation 2.
