Uwe Boll Does It Again: BloodRayne Movie I myself am not a fan of Uwe Bolls movies and I can't say that I've played any of the games he is currently working on, but his latest big screen videogame adaption has bombed. His recent movie, BloodRayne which is based on the game series of the same name, cost $25 million to make and has taken an incredible $1.2 million dollars. Copies of the film were sent to over 1,900 cimenas but 1,000 never asked for the movie and refused to show it, which shows good taste on both accounts. Uwe Boll has taken to developing big screen version movies of games which started in 2003 with House of the Dead and between then and 2008, he will have done eight movies based on videogames and BloodRayne is just number three. Boll used a German tax law, which means that if German investors invest money in a movie which fails, the investors get rewarded so he seems either just be a crap director or a tax cheating genius. Boll is reported to have said that someone has wrote a Metal Gear Solid script paid for by Konami and people have talked to him about it and it is a movie that he'd like to do. Unfortunately Uwe Boll is one of these people who is making movies for the wrong reasons. At least comic book adaptations have directors who have talent or at least have a passion for the characters. I'd just like to say that if Uwe Boll does get to direct a MGS movie, I will kill him. With the amount of money MGS fans would donate to my defence there is no way I'd get locked up. Who says bribery is a bad thing?
