Dragon Quest VIII Sells 4 Million In Japan With More Games On The Way
Square-Enix has announced that Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King has sold more than 4 million copies in Japan.

The exact figure released was 4.10 million copies which have been sold in Japan since the games original release on November 14th 2004. Although the US sales haven't been as high, Square have recorded sales of over 430,000 copies of the game being sold within the first six weeks. Unsuprisingly Europe is still waiting for the game and is due out in April and will not include the Final Fantasy XII Demo.

In other news, Dragon Quest composer Kouichi Sugiyama has confirmed that Square have more Dragon Quest games planned. At a Dragon Quest concert in Japan at the New Year in Tokyo, Sugiyama said that more Dragon Quest games would be forthcoming after the Dragon Quest VIII prequel, Dragon Quest Shounen Yangus to Fushigi no Dungeo, release in April.
