Final Fantasy 3 a huge success in Japan
The Mainichi Daily News has reported that the Japanese release of Final Fantasy 3 on August 24th has been a huge success, so big that it has even sold more copies than Square-Enix expected.

The only game from the main Final Fantasy series yet to be released to English speaking fans; other games received GBA and even PS1 ports but Final Fantasy 3 was held back and instead remade, the only Final Fantasy game to do so far. When released, the game sold more than 500,000 copies in just five days, which is 150,000 more than Square's initial estimates.

Final Fantasy 3 is to be released on the Nintendo DS in the US on November 14th, with Europe still not having an official release-date. (according to Nintendo).
