New Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings info
A new scan for Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings has been released, and along with it new information about the surprising DS title.
Firstly the game will have some experienced developers, with Motomu Toriyama directing. His previous works include Final Fantasy 10-2 and he is also currently working on the main Final Fantasy 13 game.
Ryuma Itou from Final Fantasy 12 will be replacing Akihiko Yoshida as the new character designer (although Yoshida would still be credited as the original character designer as the main characters are using his design).
Hitoshi Sakimoto will be returning as the composer, however he won't be alone as The Black Mages's very own Kenichiro Fukui will be joining him. Fukui has previous did work on Advent Children as the primary arranger as he composed the new versions of the songs heard in the movie.
New Information about the game says that Revenant Wings is a side story which takes place around a year after Final Fantasy 12.
As we know, Final Fantasy 12 was a little shallow in the way of relationships, but Revenant Wings will be different and will focus on the relationship between Vaan and Penelo as they continue their adventures as Sky Pirates. As Air Pirates, we can expect to see all of the Final Fantasy 12 airships plus extras. Penelo's dancing, as seen in the FF12 and the RW trailers, will play a bigger role in the game.
Battles will be controlled via the touch screen, although no other information was made available.
Although it was not stated, the scan said that this was the begining of an adventure. It has been speculated that this could mean the start of a FF12 series of games and that more could come.
