New details on the Compilation of FF7
After a new interview in Famitsu with Tetsuya Nomura, new details have emerged on upcoming entries into the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7.
Basically, after a through translation courtesy of Advent Children.net's Vilaeth, some new bits and pieces of information regarding Crisis Core, Advent Children Complete and Before Crisis have been revealed.
On the topic of Crisis Core, Nomura says the game is coming along very well and media should be able to play the game around the end of the year. Space-wise he says that he's not 100% sure yet if everything will fit, and doesn't want to cut any of the scenario out. Could this be the first multi-UMD PSP game?
He also gives us some reassuring words regarding the title, mentioning that the scenario is "really good", and that the battle system is "surprising" and "dramatic". What all of this means we'll just have to wait and see.
Jeux-France also translated the same article and added details such as the development team currently working on voice over recordings and battle system improvements. They also mentioned that a playable demo should be available near the end of the year and that this is the media which will probably be made available.
Regarding Advent Children Complete, only a few things of noticability are mentioned. Basically, there have been a lot of requests for a Limited Edition version, and Nomura's still unsure about what he wants to do regarding that. He once again confirms that the English-dubbed track will be included on the disc, and that they are working on new special features unseen in the original version.
As for Before Crisis, still nothing on it ever coming to the US. He briefly talks about a new character added to the game, the 'Legendary Turk', and that it's Reno and the crew's boss. He's some kind of legend to them apparently, but why he hasn't appeared in any other episodes in the Compilation will be revealed soon. Is it just me, or does it sound like he might bite the bullet?
Advent Children Complete is looking for a release in the middle of next year, and at this time Crisis Core is still uncertain - the team is hoping to release in the 2nd quarter of next year, around the release of Kingdom Hearts 2 - Final Mix+.
