An update on Final Fantasy XIII A new article on IGN has shed some light on translations of recent Dengeki and Famitsu issues regarding FF13. You can read the new article from IGN here! The article basically takes most of it's info from an interview with Motomu Toriyama, regarding Final Fantasy 13. He reinforces the fact that FF13 will most certainly be seeing the light of day this year in the form of a playable demo - no word on a final release date though. New storyline info is divulged, with the beginning of the game being mapped out a little more clearly (such as Coccoon and it's dilemma that Lightning is involved in), and we are also promised an "intense" opening scene. As for Versus 13, Nomura steps in to talk up his next title with his Kingdom Hearts team, speaking of the dynamics in the battle scenes (such as the use of swords to warp). He also mentions that the game is still far from release, but his has a 'very cool' idea prepared for it's next trailer! Source: IGN PS3 and Spira's Destiny.
