More news on Final Fantasy: Anniversary Editions As of today, Final Fantasy: Anniversary Edition has been released in Japan, with the sequel due next month! A nice surprise was revealed upon the release of the first though - English is a language option in the game! No need to wait for the English translation to be released to the US, the game can be imported for those eager for their Anniversary Edition fix! Note that those who aren't too sure should wait until further reports come out of this - the English translation may not be perfect, but we'll check up on it. If we don't get back to you on this in the next few weeks, it probably isn't the best choice for non-Japanese speaking fans. We'll keep you updated As for the game itself, it has opened to strong sales and is a good example of how successful Square's 'Anniversary Edition' titles will be throughout the year. As a last little treat, here's the official box art for both initial titles in under the Anniversary Edition moniker. Note there will be more to come, probably announced at Square-Enix Party next month. UPDATE: Official US releases for both games announced! Final Fantay: Anniversary Edition is releasing in America on June 26 and Final Fantasy 2: Anniversary Edition will be releasing there on July 24! Importing, therefore, isn't really necessary!
