Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII play-times!
Not only is the game nearing completion, it's looking like it's worth the wait!
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7, the newest entrance into the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7, is now around 90% complete - the only thing that remains is to compress the files so that they can all fit onto a UMD.
The game's director, Hajime Tabata, was then asked about how long the game would take to complete, to which he replied with a hearty "30 hours for the main story, and 100 hours for the side-quests." Contrary to popular belief, it seems Square has put a lot of effort into this title, which couldn't be said for the previous entrance in the series, Dirge of Cerberus.
When asked whether this was the end of the Compilation, Tabata-san said that this decision rested in the hands of Yoshinori Kitase (the original's director/co-writer) and Tetsuya Nomura (who does all the character designs, and preliminary story work).
Lastly, Nomura-san mention a special edition of the game would be made available (at least in Japan) - as to what will be included in this package, there is still nothing finalised.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 is releasing in Japan on the 13th of September. We'll keep you updated on America's Q4 release.
