July 20 - New scans of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 is drawing closer to its September 13th release, it was inevitable more media would surface! (BEWARE: Mild spoilers follow. You have been warned!) Well, firstly I'd like to point out that "Loveless" isn't a song as we first thought, but actually refers (in some way) to a book (which Dr. Hollander is holding on the first scan). This book is effectively a 'romance', or an epic tale reciting an old legend. Genesis is rather a large fan of the book, and believes in some way that it reflects him and his current situation. Also note Zack speaking with Cloud on the first page, and the re-emergence of the classic Phoenix summon on the second page. We're still unsure as to who the winged-warrior Zack is fighting on the second page is, but if we find out we'll update you. As for story info, we can now confirm that the red-haired female Turk we showed you a while back is indeed Shizune from Before Crisis - she is the youngest person to ever pass the Turks' screening test, yet she still acts as a kind of 'mother-figure' to the other members. In other story matters, we now know that Genesis (Gackt's character) indeed has a last name - Rhapsodos. We're unsure what this directly refers to, but it seems to be a reference to the musical movement, 'rhapsody', perhaps a quick jab at Gackt's musical history. As for his friend, Dr. Hollander, who is reading Loveless in these images, we know that he is a rival of Hojo's. Apparently, Hollander believes Hojo stole his job effectively, and to get revenge he has stoling cloning devices from Shinra, and is getting help from Genesis... and we all know who Genesis clone was...
