Petition for Final Fantasy VII remake hits a massive 15000 Usually these Petition Online things don't go too far before they full flat from a lack of attention - not so in this case... You can click here to check out the petition, and sign it for yourselves! Yep, the numbers are in - 15000 individual votes for a Final Fantasy 7 remake on this single petition. Although this changes nothing, it adds fuel to the remake fire - with Square's new focus being remakes and re-releases, one would wonder why they won't go ahead with this... it's obviously a strong marketing strategy, seeing as Final Fantasy 13 has pretty much disappeared off the map.
