Director of Crisis Core talks about Final Fantasy VII remake
Hajime Tabata, the director of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7, recently spoke to PTOM about the possibilities of a remake.

PTOM: So that Final Fanasy 7 remake that you've said will never happen: Why?
Tabata: I think it is because the conditions that are necessary to remake the game have not been met at this time. The possibility for a remake may become greater if, for instance, the schedueles of the original members of the Final Fantasy 7 development team, such as Kitase (Yoshinori, director) and Nomura, (Tetsuya, designer/story) open up.

So there you have it fans. A Final Fantasy 7 remake can't currently go ahead because the original team is currently extremely busy with other projects. If, however, these schedueles would begin to free up, there may be hope!
