Wada considers Final Fantasy XIII online rentals Square-Enix have often been known for innovation, but Yoichi Wada's newest idea for Final Fantasy 13 is perhaps a little too weird. At Square's most recent, twenty-eight, stockholder's meeting a Q&A session was opened with President Yoichi Wada to discuss current happenings and trends in the company. Among various business-related queries, the topic of Final Fantasy 13 ending up in used game stores was raised: Rather than renting out the physical media of titles, we're thinking more along the lines of an online solution. In other words? Square is considering online rentals of games such as Final Fantasy 13. Is it just me, or is that perhaps a bit TOO LARGE to 'rent' over the internet. I have a feeling that if Blu-ray media is suddenly 'rentable', we'll be seeing a sharp rise in illegal downloads of PS3 content. Square had better know what they're doing here, or that falling stock of their's might just continue to plummet...
