Square gives more Final Fantasy XIII details With the Japanese demo only weeks away, Square continues to reveal small pieces of information regarding the game. Most notable is the fact that the demo will only feature a very small portion of the full game's actual story - it will feature an event known as 'The Purge'. It is also interesting to note that the demo, in its current state, is only using 50% of the PS3's maximum power. When the full version releases it should be utilising 100%. Regarding the final game itself, Square is still uncertain as to whether they will have to use the exremely high-level capacity available to them on a dual-layer Blu-ray. The dual-layered variant, which holds a massive 50GB, will allow them to store much more data, but can cause various technical problems. Speaking of technology, the PlayStation 3's surprisingly small amount of RAM has led to the team encountering problems, however nothing has been confirmed regarding this. In-game however, things are coming along rather well it seems. The battle system, however, is apparently "not as seamless as Final Fantasy 12", but for many traditional fans this will probably come as a godsend. Camera movement has been a strong focus of the team, to ensure that it is worthy of other titles on the market. Characters have been thoroughly developed; Lightning is apparently "not too masculine", Snow was originally going to be childish, but this was dropped to make him more like Wakka, and apparently Sazh will encounter a rather interesting twist later in the game regarding his "inner demons".
