Final Fantasy XIII-2 Will Have a "Darker" feel
Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Motomu Toriyama confirmed that Final Fintasy XIII-2 will have a “darker” feel and get rid of the “pop” feel. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will begin in Gran Pulse, right where the first game left off. It will expand upon plot threads from its predecessor, introducing old characters in “unexpected ways.” The game will also feature a revised battle system based on XIII’s mechanics.

Square Enix will ship Final Fantasy XIII-2 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this year in Japan, and next winter in the U.S. and Europe.
