You heard right folks, Crisis Core has taken gold after just one week! The game sold a massive 277, 633 copies in its first week, which is absolutely massive for a PSP game.
Note the slight schooling of the Nintendo Wii's Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was beaten by more than 50,000 copies! Astounding, seeing as Brawl has been one of the most hyped games in the US for months now.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 is out now across Japan and America, and will be releasing on the 6th of June across Europe. Stay tuned for more Crisis Core-related updates!
The event will take place at the PlayStation Store at Metreon, San Francisco. It will be held tomorrow (March 25), from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the first 200 visitors guaranteed a copy of the game, and the first 100 receiving a free T-shirt!
Raffles will be held, with various Final Fantasy-related merchandising available as prizes, as well as lithographs (authorised copies of famous FF works by sketch artists).
Shinra ID Cards will be made on-site, featuring your name and photograph (taken there). This will be a great item for collectors, so don't forget to stop by!

IGN gives Crisis Core a positive review Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 has been getting a lot of mixed press lately, but major website IGN has positively reviewed the game!
They give the game a final score of 8.5, a highly positive score in light of much of the game's reason press.
In this case, it's Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 which is being given the Collector's Edition treatment. Said collector's edition contains a unique cover, and an exclusive artbook entitled The Art of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7.

The first clip shows off everyone's favourite VA duo, Quinton Flynn and Crispin Freeman returning as Reno and Rude respectively, and returning with style! The second clip however, is a little strange.
Aerith appears here with a voice that sounds very different to her Advent Children incarnation, meaning we probably have yet ANOTHER voice actress taking on the role (following on from Mandy Moore and Mena Suvari). Not only in this inconsistant, but she's now calling herself Aerith!? Fans are extremely confused as to what this means for English players, seeing as she was only ever called Aerith the English versions of the Kingdom Hearts titles - her name was translated as Aeris for English versions of previous Compilation titles...
The final video shows of what looks to be a very poignant first meeting between Zack and Cloud - Rick Gomez and Steve Burton seem to be back in full force, and the music as Cloud removes his helmet is just a little on the haunting side...
Fans can be sure to eat up anything Crisis Core in spades, as the game has been getting some good press lately. Said fans need not wait much longer, as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 will be releasing on Sony's PSP across North America on March 25, 2008. The videos show off the in-game battle engine really well here, as well as the graphics capabilities in natural cut-scenes (ie. not pre-rendered).
We really can't say enough good things about this game lately - it appears to be turning out really well, with an adequate vocal-cast lending their talents to the title and some great gameplay to back it up!

Fans of the original Final Fantasy 7 have been eagerly anticipating this title for months now, but its difficult to deny that they have also had their reservations. With the history of the Compilation of FF7 (particularly Dirge of Cerberus), fans have had good reason to be sceptical about the quality of a PlayStation Portable exclusive entry.
Well, the wait is finally over, as EGM have revealed their official scores for the game - the panel of three reviewers gave the game a B+, a B+ and an A-. Not too bad! Much better than Dirge of Cerberus, at least...
In related news, EGM have also revealed their scores for the newly translated English title, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Ring of Fates, for Nintendo's DS. The title has scored rather mediocrely, with a B-, a B- and an A.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 will be releasing across North America for Sony's PSP on March 25th. Similarly, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Ring of Fates will be releasing in the same territory on March 11th for Nintendo's DS.
The images, although new, don't show anything of a particularly new nature, but are of great help for those who are still sceptical about the localisation of the title.
