The trailer was on the same 'Cloud: Vol. 1' DVD that featured the recent Final Fantasy 13 and FF Versus 13 trailers we showed you. It showcases the difference in quality between the DVD and Blu-ray versions, as well as the new dirt physics and some of the restored scenes.

Yep, Final Fantasy 7 is once again regarded as the major desire amongst all fans attending, taking the vote with a high percentage over Final Fantasy VI (which was in second).
At the Party, Square had a huge Community Message Board, where attendees could stick post-it-notes with their most desired remake written on, and Square promised to announce at the end of the show the winner. It came as no surprise to those in attendance that Final Fantasy 7 won out.
Still no word on what this means though - don't expect to see that remake any time soon, at least.
Of late, Square-Enix has been releasing many an old game on new consoles - although frowned upon by critics because of how easy it is to do most of the time, it has kept Square er... squarely in the green zone when it comes to profits! So to capitalise on this, Square has just announced it's newest full-blown marketing strategy.
From here on in, Square will be focusing on remaking re-releasing old games and franchises, as well as creating new sequels to these games!
And what does this mean for the general Final Fantasy fan? Well, combine this with the fact that 2007 marks Final Fantasy 7's 10th anniversary, and that we were recently told more 'Final Fantasy: Anniversary Editions' were going to happen very soon, we may yet see a Final Fantasy 7 remake!
Now this isn't by any means official, so keep an eye out during May when the Square-Enix Party happens - a 'big announcement' of a new game is to happen here. Expect this to either be a new Final Fantasy 10 sequel, another chapter in the 12 story, a new entrance into the FF13: Fabula Nova Crystallis series or...

Strangely enough many of these 'new' features were already included in the original (or at least original European) release, with Last Order and the cards being the only really new features.
Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children (Limited Edition Collector's Set) will be released February 6th 2007 with a suggested retail price of $49.95 - below is the possible box art.
As you can see in the comparions, more details have been added such as dirt on Cloud's face and even the edited scene of Sephiroth lifting Cloud off the ground when he was stabbed in the shoulder with the Masamune. According to an online translation, the scene with Cloud being lifted couldn't originally be done due to the movie's rating. This could mean the new movie, which is being done as a replacement for Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children could have a higher rating and other new scenes to make it more mature.
Although no details have been released on price and regions, Blu-Ray movies normally cost $30 and the movie's multiple language tracks and shared region with the US should allow North American fans to import the movie without any difficulty of understanding or viewing.
Scan Source: Dengeki Magazine Credit to forum member Raiden for alerting me to these.
Unforunately Blu-Ray movie discs are going to be region encoded, so Europe will not be able to import however the US is expected to share the same region as Japan (because they share the same video output, where Europe uses PAL and not NTSC) so if the multiple langauge tracks include English then the US should be able to import and play on Home or the PS3 Blu-Ray player.
Basically, this is an updated version of AC which will only be on Blu-Ray disc; the effects have been upgraded so much that we can now see dirt on Cloud's face. Also, among other new features, new footage will be included as well as redone scenes.
A trailer was apparently shown but until it hits the web, we will have to remain in the dark.
The site is available in five languages and contains a Japanese trailer (with a second one coming soon), several wallpapers (including one I've never seen before) and character information.
Square still deny Final Fantasy 7 remake Best Buy have been taking preorders for a Final Fantasy 7 remake but Square has once again spoken out to deny any rumours.
Square-Enix have confirmed Final Fantasy 13 is in development, but once again said they have not confirned any Final Fantasy 7 remake at any time. They also stated that the rumours are just that - rumours, and Best Buy made a mistake. As a result Best Buy have removed the item from their website.
Square previously denied a Final Fantasy 7 remake almost a month ago after EGM falsly reported the remake for a 2007 release.
