In all seriousness though, this video really speaks for itself. March 9, 2010 will be the official release date of FINAL FANTASY 13, which the host here calls "possibly the most anticipated gaming experience of all time." Obviously this will sell 11,000,000 copies in the first month...
Oh and yeah, Sayuri Sugawara's Kimi ga Iru Kara will not be in the English game, instead Leona Lewis' My Hands, a song which has been around for a little while, will be the English ending theme.
Enjoy the video(s) that we've dumped here. They'll fill in all the gaps.
Below is the Release Date Trailer:

And lastly, for those of you importing from Japan (which now sounds like the reasonable thing to do, even if you don't understand a word of dialogue...), this is Sayuri Sugawara's Kimi ga Iru Kara:
Good times people, good times.
Ah well, there's still Final Fantasy Versus 13. Hopefully they won't put Katy Perry in that.
This time, however, it comes with English subtitles! Now all of you non-Japanese speakers can get a much better idea of some of the high-tension and drama present in Motomu Toriyama's epic storyline!
Oh, and obviously the English trailer itself... not sounding so great...

Final Fantasy XIII's 'Optima System' Final Fantasy 13's elaborate battle system has been explained further in recent weeks, revealed as the 'Optima System'.
The Optima System seems to be a continuation of Final Fantasy 12's battle system, in that it allows you to assign specific AI-controlled roles to the three active party members. Images below show Lightning as a 'Defender', Snow as an 'Attacker', and Vanilla as a 'Blaster'; as to how customisable these combinations will be, we'll have to wait and see.
Complex and/or successful use of the system can result in bonuses, such as increased attack power.
Also recently unveiled to the public was the finer details of Sazh's son, Dajh Katzroy. The MagicBox had this to say about his arc;
During the story, Dajh will be separated from Sazh and will be turned into a crystal by Jihl Nabaat, which motivated Sazh to join force with Lightning to battle against the Sanctum.
Final Fantasy 13 will be releasing on the 17th of December, 2009 in Japan, and the second quarter of 2010 in the West.
Well, wait no more as the theme song has been revealed to be "Kimi ga Iru Kara" ('Because You're With Me', in English), composed by Masashi Hamauzu and performed by J-Pop newcomer Sayuri Sugawara. At this point it is uncertain who was involved with lyrics and arrangement, however we'll update you if this is of note.
The song will become the artist's second single, and will be released on December 2, 2009. This will follow her debut EP, "Kimi ni Okuro Uta", and her September 30 single, "Anohi no Yakusoku".
You can check out a live preview of the song below!
We'll get back to you if more details on the song appear, including a PV.
Final Fantasy XIII Japanese release date As many of you may or may not have heard yet, an official street date for Final Fantasy 13 in Japan has been announced!
December 17, 2009 will see the release of the long-awaited game, which was first shown off at E3 2006, and already appeared to be almost two years into development at that time.
Although we had seen the character in earlier trailers, we haven't had a name for her name until the past week or so. Both her and Yaag Rosh (also pictured below) are soldiers in the PSICOM army.
Besides these images, we can also confirm that on September 8, 2009 at the National Museum of Emerging Science in Tokyo, Japan, the Final Fantasy XIII Premiere Party will be held, starting from 7PM. Final Fantasy 13 will be on the show floor, and they will officially announce the release date and pricing for the Japanese PlayStation 3 version.
We'll let you know as soon as the details have been revealed.
