Final Fantasy XI Communication System
Party
In Final Fantasy XI and other MMORPG, when you are
playing by yourself, you are called "Solo player". If you are with other players
it is called "Party". You will need to form party when you encounter enemies
that are hard to fight against. Forming party will help you a lot during the
game.
You are able to form a party of 6 players in Final Fantasy XI. 1
leader and 5 other members.
To form your party, go to your main menu and
chose "Form a Party", finish some setting, get the members and you are ready to
go.
Alliance
You are able
to form multiple party called "Alliance" in Final Fantasy XI. Maximum of 3
parties, 18 players in 1 alliance.
Friend List
Friend List is a function to store your friend's
name in PlayOnline, it can be used in Final Fantasy XI. It is like a form of
address book.
Options in Friend List

To List
Shows the list of your friends online or logged
in. You can click on the names to send them an Instant Message.

View Message
Lists the messages received from your
friends.

Friend Search
Searches a player through certain
requirements.

Online Status
Shows the online status of the
friends.

Option
For you to change various settings

Edit Profile
To change the detail information about
yourself.

Visibility setting
To set whether you want or don't want
certain people to know that you are in logged in state.

HN List
Lists the names of your friend list in
alphabetical order.
Chat
There are 5 kind of chat communication you can
choose in Final Fantasy XI. Note the color of the text, that is how it looks
when you are chatting in the specified channel.
