Final Fantasy XI Job System
In Final Fantasy XI, you need to choose a job when you are creating your
character. You are able to choose 6 basic jobs initially. Different jobs has
it's own "Job Ability". You are able to use more ability when your Job Level
increase. At the same time, you are also able to choose another job as "Support
Job". To be able to get your "Support Job". You will need to level up 2 jobs
each time you play. After completing a specified Quest, you will be able to
choose your "Support Job" in your Mog House.
Limitation of Support
Job · You will not be able to make it as your "Main Job". · Level
will be half your "Main Job". · There will be no exp. added to your support
job.
Example In this example, I will use Warrior Job Lv. 20
and White Mage Lv. 10 as support job. · When your main Job is Warrior and
White mage as support Job, you will only be able to use white magic that a White
Mage job Lv. 10 has. · When your main Job is White Mage and Warrior as
support Job, you will only be able to use Job ability that a Warrior Job Lv. 5
has.
These are the jobs you can choose at the beginning of the
game:
Warrior Experts of close combat and also master of
various armed combat.

They are
able to use both White Magic and Black Magic but they take a longer time to
learn a higher leveled Magic compared to the White Mage and Black Mage. These
Magicians are also skilled in combat skills.

Thief Instead of
fighting the enemies from the front, they use their quickness to evade away from
enemy's attack and steals items from the them. Has more abilities to support the

Bard They are
able to choose "Song" in their Magic Command, choose a song from the list, set
target enemy and uses the musical instrument to play the Songs. The songs causes
various status effect and the sound will differ if you equip yourself with
different Musical Instrument.

Beast Master They have special ability called "Control" against monsters. If succeed, the
monster will be yours after sometime. The monster that's controlled over by you
will be called "Pets.
