Final Fantasy XI Getting Started
Install PlayOnline and Final Fantasy XI Program
Like
what it's written in the menu booklet in DVD-Box, install PlayOnline (POL)
program into your PlayStation BB (PS BB) Unit (or the Hard Disk Drive). After
installation, run the program from your PS BB Unit.
When you get to the
login page in POL, move your cursor to "INSTALL" then put your Final Fantasy XI
Disc into your PS2. Final Fantasy XI will be installed in to your PS BB Unit.
Type in
the required info to get registered to POL and Final Fantasy XI.
You will find out
that when you choose "GAME" under POL, you are able to choose "FINAL FANTASY
XI". Click on it and the game will go to your login screen. After you have
logged in first time, they will ask for further info about yourself. The game
will start after you have completed typing in your info that they have requested
for.

| 1. Race. |
Choose a race that you would like to be from any
of the 5 races in Vana'diel. |
| 2. Sex. |
Male or female? You decide, but if you choose Galka or Mithra as
your race. There won't be an setting for this. |
| 3. Face. |
In the Beta Test. There are 4 types of face for
you to choose from. |
| 4. Hair color. |
Choose your hair color provided in the game. (No setting for this
in the Beta Test) |
| 5. Body size. |
Small, medium, large for you to choose
from. |
| 6. Main Job. |
Choose your main job from the 6 provided in the starting of the
game. |
| 7. Character name. |
Type in your name/nick. Max. of 15 characters (
alphabet). |
| 8. Country of Birth. |
Choose from the 3 countries in Vana'diel. After choosing this
option you will start your game from the country you have
chosen. |
You are ready to start the game once you've finished making your
character! |
