Final Fantasy XII License Board - Quickenings and Espers

Quickenings
Each character has three Quickening abilities they can learn. There are 18 Quickening Licenses available on the board, which means that each character can learn their full complement, but there is something to watch out for early in the game. Don't waste LP in getting across the License Board quickly, unlocking Licenses for weapons and armour that you will not be receiving until much later in the game. The Quickenings are important, but they are not that important. If you happen to reach a Quickening License on the way to an ability or Augment that you are heading for, by all means take it. Just don't go too far off course for them, thats all.

Espers
You should, on the other hand, move earth, fire, wind and water to get to the 13 Espers. These powerful creatures can turn a fight on its head. Refer to the Espers section and also the relevant sections of the walkthrough to learn how to find and defeat them, and be careful not to give on character too many Espers, leaving others weak. Try and balance the party with two Espers each, with three for your main spellcaster.
