Hume
Humes are the most common race Ivalice, they have no particular special abilities and compared to other races they have a relatively short life span. However, they are
the dominant political force in Ivalice, particularly through the Empire.

Viera
The Viera live in the Golmore Jungle, in almost complete seclusion from other races. However, the on-set of war caused many of them to question their way of life. Many
decided to break the Green Word; which forbids any contact with the outside world. From then on they are treated as outcasts, and lose their extraordinary ability to
communicate with the wood. Viera also have incredible longevity.

Seeq
Short, squat and almost pig-like, the Seeq are often used for jobs such as body-guards or soldiers. They also enjoy fishing and if out travelling, are usually happy to
help passing travellers. |

Bangaa
The Bangaa are to be found all over Ivalice, especially where there are Humes in power, as many of them can gain employment as bounty hunters. The Bangaa can live
almost twice as long as a Hume. They are lizard-like in appearance, but are mortally offended when told so.

Moogles
The Moogles, famous for their white fur and colored pom-pom's, are a friendly fun-loving race that are to be found all over Ivalice. They are frequently a great
help to adventurers, offering teleportation and transport. |

Garif
Garif are a peace-loving humanoid race, but their heightened senses of hearing and smell as well as their athletic appearance make them extremely capable warriors.
However, many of them choose to simply become farmers. They do have warriors, which they would only use in an emergency. They despise the use of machinery, and base
their entire culture on the use of wood and stone. Every Garif receives a mask on the day they are born and they wear it until the day they die.

Baknamy
The Baknamy are ruthless, goblin-like creatures who will not hesitate to attack anybody that they see. When out travelling, they tend to travel in pairs, one as a decoy,
the other waiting to ambush. Travellers seeing a Baknamy would be best advised to turn around and run very fast, unless they are extremely proficient in
weaponry.

Urutan-Yensa
The Urutan-Yensa, live exclusivly on the Sandsea. They are extremely territorial, and will attack on sight, any oher race that they see. They are extremely proud of
their culture and will punish heavilly any inside signs of weakness, usually with the death penalty.
