Upon reaching Wutai Yuffie stole the party's materia and escaped into the town. While searching for her in Wutai, the party learned about Godo, Yuffie's father, who was the leader of Wutai during the war. “Strength without determination means nothing, and determination without strength is equally useless.” - Godo When in Wutai, Cloud and the others learn that there is some seriously strong disagreement between Yuffie and her father regarding the future of Wutai, that is, to turn it into some kind of tourist attraction. To prove herself and her reasoning behind her position, Yuffie must fight in Wutai’s five-story pagoda. This had lead her to a final battle with her own father and brings him to realization her motives and her part as a ninja. After stealing materia from the gang, she pleads it is for a noble cause regarding her hometown of Wutai. Vincent: “I have nothing to say.” Yuffie: “That's okay, it was probably depressing anyway.” What is there to say about Yuffie? She’s is the epitome of mischievous and does not let anyone hinder her goal of selfishly stealing materia from others; she cares nothing about tradition, that of which her ninja clan seems to cherish. Although she is rather young, she is a true asset to the team; she does indeed know how to be the ninja she claims to be, and her limit breaks, aswell as her attacks, might prove her to be one of the more powerful characters in Final Fantasy VII. Grateful for her rescuing, Yuffie returned the materia and explained to the party that she wanted the materia to help save her now tourist attraction for a town. Yuffie continued her journey with Cloud to save the Planet.
