Final Fantasy 7 Side Quest - Sleeping Old Man

Directly east of Junon is a small cave that can only be reached via the Highwind or a Blue/ Gold Chocobo. Inside, you'll stumble upon a sleeping man who mumbles out your statistics when you speak to him. He can tell you either how many times you've fought battles or how many times you've run away from battles, for example. Sometimes, he also hints at the concept of Master Materia.

This man is actually worth a bit more, actually. Find out how many times you've fought from him, and then talk to him when the last two digits of the number of battles you've fought match each other. (Examples; 488, 522, 366, etc) Doing this will earn you a Bolt Ring. Sadly, you can only do this once.

However, this guy can give you a very rare item which is worth a ton -- Mythril. Speak to him when your last two digits match, and he may give you a piece of Mythril.
