Final Fantasy VII Walkthrough – Gongaga Area
Items: White M-phone, Fairy Tale, X-Potion, Titan Materia, Deathblow Materia.
Cross the dessert and head through a rift in the water, you will reach the Gongaga area, this looks like a wreckage and is surrounded by forests. Enter it and follow the path up, you will come across the Turks talking about "who they like", then Elena will come along and Reno and Rude will notice you. Now you'll have to fight them.
Boss: Reno and Rude
In this fight it is more effective to use Magic and Summon attacks rather than physical attacks, although limit breaks are still effective, it's a good idea to kill Rude first as well because he tends to do most of the magic attacks including healing himself and Reno. You'll receive Aeris' fairytale and an X-potion for winning.
Now follow Elena's path and you'll go up a hill to the destroyed reactor. When you enter the reactor Scarlet and Tseng will show up, you'll hide and see a cut scene where Tseng and Scarlet will mention "huge materia". When they leave search in the area Scarlet was looking and you'll find the Titan Summon Materia, this is an earth based summon that is quiet effective. Return to the crossroads and head up the northern path, here you'll find the Deathblow Command Materia, continue until you reach the village.
Check all the houses for items and stock up if you need to. Now go into the house towards the far right and there will be a scene with two parents who talk about a man names Zack who also joined SOLDIER along with Cloud, Aeris will remember him as her old boyfriend and Tifa will act strangely, there's nothing left to do here after this so leave and take the buggy west to Cosmo Canyon.
