Final Fantasy VIII Walkthrough – Back at the Garden
Once inside you will all split up and you'll be on your own again. Head back to the lobby ensuring you visit the draw point containing cure spells you used earlier as it will be functional again.
When you’re back in the lobby walk up to Xu, Quistis and Cid and they will tell you to wait for your results. Now head up the right path and you will find Seifer, talk to him and Cid will appear to scorn him for not following orders, it appears that he is going to fail the exam and once this cut-scene has finished go back to the lobby and you'll hear an announcement telling all participants of the exam to go to the second floor corridor. Get in the lift and down the corridor where you'll see the rest of the participants. After a little while you and Zell will be summoned by the Headmaster to be told that you passed the exam, making you a SeeD member.
After the presentation you will be dismissed but talk to Cid to be given the Battle Meter. Go to your dorm and save the game, then change into your new uniform for the party. When you arrive the party is in full flow and you will see the girl from the FMV at the beginning on the dance floor. Once she asks you to dance you will agree rather reluctantly and see a really nice FMV, which is quiet funny but cute at the same time (one of my personal favourites) during this she will walk away before you catch her name.
Once the scene has finished you will be on the balcony alone, Quistis will walk over to tell you to change into your own clothes and meet her at the training arena (whilst doing a little subtle flirting).
