Final Fantasy VIII Walkthrough – Winhill
At the start of this disc you will wake up as Laguna, Ellone will enter and tell you that there’s someone waiting for you in the bar. You’ll get mad at her for going out onto the monster-ridden street and consent to join her. Before you follow her to the pub use the hidden draw point in the corner near the chest of draws to stock some curagas. Now go down stairs, talk to Ellone and go out into the street.
The pub is next door so go inside, you’ll see Kiros, and apparently he has been looking for you since you fell. You’ll talk about old times and be given a chance to ask some questions, when you ask about Ward you’ll be told that he is working in the D-District Prison. When you ask about Julia you’ll find out that she was distraught when her true love never returned from war and was comforted by General Caraway (Rinoa’s Father) and later married him. Now agree to talk later and Kiros will stay with you for a while. Now leave the pub and cross the bridge, before you get across Laguna will tell Kiros about his job in the town. Junction yourself and follow the path. A little further up there will be a draw point with some Drain spells, so stock up.
Continue to the end of the road and to the end of the village, there you’ll find the shop, so talk your way around the man in the door and spend Laguna’s 3000gil wisely. Now head back to the Pub, once in town go right from the bridge and you will find a draw point containing some Dispels. Enter the pub and go up the stairs. There will be a cut-scene in which Raine and Ellone are talking about marriage and how Raine feels for Laguna. When you decide to walk in casually speak to Raine to give her your monster report. She will tell you to get some rest so head next door and go upstairs. There will be another scene then choose to get some rest.
