Final Fantasy VIII Walkthrough – Edea's Orphanage
The scene will shift to Squall lying in bed, restlessly thinking of Rinoa. He'll get up and go to the infirmary, Rinoa is on the bed out cold and Quistis will tell you over the intercom that Edea is back at the orphanage. Go to the deck and once on the world map enter the house before the lighthouse. Once inside go into the house where you'll see Cid, he'll tell you he's a coward then you'll need to follow him down to the beach. Once there Edea will tell you that she was under the control of Sorceress Ultimecia and how Ultimecia wants Ellone for her mysterious power etc. Keep talking to Edea until she starts to repeat herself then go to leave, there'll be another scene and you'll be back at garden.
Go and visit Rinoa in the infirmary and you fall asleep, this time you get to choose who plays the rolls of Kiros and Ward. At this time in Laguna's life he's being made to play a part in an amateur film as a knight. Follow the scene (you don't have to anything except read at the moment) then when the dragon arrives you'll have to play in a mini game, Hit triangle to attack it and square to block. I suggest constantly attacking because if you get the right rhythm the dragon will barely get two attacks in. If you loose you can re-try without any starting from the beginning of the sequence ect. Once it's slain you take your chance to run off, however it follow you and Kiros and Ward will help you fight it. If you haven't junctioned them choose to wait for the battle to do so.

If you're junctioned correctly you should get through this fight easily. Cast triple/double on everyone (alternatively use Cerberus) then cast Triple-cast Shell, Protect and Haste on everyone as this monster uses magic as well as physical attacks (the haste is to stop the battle taking longer than it needs to). Once you've done this triple cast Blizzara/aga and use Shiva on him. Don't use Pandemona or Ifrit GF's or Fire/a/aga/ Aero on him as he absorbs both these attacks. Continue to pummel him and he'll go down easily (I hadn't junction Kiros and Ward by mistake and I still got through this fight easily, yet slowly, but that's how easy it is)
Once this fight is over there'll be a black screen and you'll talk with Ellone through the dream, Squall will decide that to save Rinoa he will have to return to the moment in which she became ill/cold/how she is now, this means you'll need to find her by looking for the SeeD ship, this means you'll need to ask Edea about its location so go to the orphanage (ensuring you search for an old Timber Maniacs magazine on the floor to the right) then ask Edea, she'll tell you that it's anchored in the bay on the central continent and gives you a letter to allow you to pass. So go back to the garden and start to search.
