Final Fantasy VIII Walkthrough – The Sorceress Memorial
Before landing Squall will have a thinking spell over his dilemma about the fact he's fallen for Rinoa then after touch down the Esthar personnel will take her to the Sorceress Memorial. You'll regain control and will need to head onto the ship to the small control room to the left of the lift up to the cockpit. Everyone will enter and Quistis will have a go at Squall telling him to go for Rinoa, calling him a fool for letting her make the decision. The Ragnarok will start to move so go up to the cockpit where you'll see Selphie flying it.
You now have control of the Ragnarok and gain access to many locations that you didn't have previously. When you're ready locate the Sorceress Memorial on your map and go there. When you enter the soldiers will let you pass to see Rinoa off, however when you enter Squall will tell the personnel that he's come to get Rinoa. Go to her and Squall will free her with his gun blade, there will be another cute FMV of Rinoa falling into Squall's Arms. Once back on the plane Rinoa will ask everyone if she can go to Trabia as there's no body there for her to harm if Ultimecia takes control, but everyone objects and she says she wants to go to Edea's orphanage instead so go over there in the Ragnarok.
Once inside Angelo will appear and you'll need to follow him off screen into a flower field. Your other team member will leave you two alone and there'll be another touching scene with the two of them. After a while Zell will interrupt and bring news that the Esthar president has come up with a plan (and that he heard if from a man named Kiros) to defeat Ultimecia and that he wants to hire SeeD to execute the mission. Head out of the orphanage and Edea will stop you to tell you a little about herself and how she became a sorceress, then head over to Esthar city and land the plane outside, head into the main area over the various paths (that you followed in the rental car) to the city centre.
