Final Fantasy VIII Walkthrough – Back at Esthar
Once inside the city you'll discover that the city lifters are out of operation, so you'll have to walk to the palace, along the way you'll encounter some random monsters. Once at the palace enter and walk past the first room and continue along the hallway until you reach a door guarded by two soldiers. Once inside you'll find Ward Kiros and Laguna, it turns out that Laguna is the president of Esthar and you'll be given the chance to ask him questions, ask him everything before asking about the mission.
Odine will enter and explain everything about Ultimecia's obsession with Ellone and Laguna will ask if you're willing to help. Say yes then the scene will move onto the Ragnarok. Laguna will go over the plan again and offer some advice as to how the team should get through it. When you're ready junction yourself and save on the map, now head over to Tears point and ride into the Lunatic Pandora.
