Final Fantasy VIII Walkthrough – Into the Time Compressed World
After the battle with Seifer, head back to the area where you met Mobile type 8 and use the structure on the right hand side to climb up, climb up the second ladder and stock on some Brake spells from a draw point that can be seen when Move-find is equipped. Now proceed to walk up the pipe to the top and head right onto another bridge. Go into the cave in front of you and you'll find Seifer and Rinoa in front of Adel who will reach down to grab Rinoa.
Boss: Sorceress Adel Lv 46 Hp????? Okay this is a toughie because GF's cannot be used due to the fact that Adel is holding Rinoa - if you kill Rinoa its game over. Also you'll need to cast Regen on Rinoa along with the odd Curaga spell, as Adel will drain health from her. This of course also means that Meteor and Ultima cannot be used against her either as these will also harm Rinoa. Start by using Cerberus and then triple casting Shell to shield you from the powerful magic attacks that Adel uses such as Ultima, which take off 2500hp (less with shell). Cast Aura on yourselves, as your physical attacks will be your most valuable asset in this fight (lower defence due to high magic). Continue to pummel her and be sure to Mug her for a Samantha Soul.
After the battle Laguna and Ellone will appear, Ellone will use her magic to send Rinoa back in time as planned and shortly after will recall her, creating the Time Compressed World. Now Squall and co will travel through time for a while. Squall tells the group to go to Edea's house. Save your game at the save point and head along the pathway into the dark chamber after preparing yourself for yet another boss fight.
Boss: Sorceresses Both: Lv 45 Both: Hp ????? Here you will have to battle two Sorceresses that will continually disappear to reappear in a different time zone. Both aren't particularly strong fortunately so just pummel them physically. Both of them will use fairly weak magic on you, which become virtually insignificant if you triple-cast either Shell or Regen (which ever spells you have the most of) on yourselves. An important thing to keep in mind is mugging these bosses for Meteor Stone as each time they reappear their stock of them re-news and you can steal more. After a while though a tougher sorceress will appear. When she does be sure to Triple cast Protect on yourself as she counter attacks you with Grope. At some point in the battle a 5 move countdown will appear meaning she is preparing to use Ultima on you, during this time she will not counter attack you so use it to fully cure yourself and to get some powerful attacks in. It is a good idea to use one person singularly for healing in this fight, so have one person triple cast Curaga on everyone to heal them and use the others to triple cast spells such as Meteor and Ultima on her for serious damage. For your trouble you will get several Flare stones.
After this fight the party find themselves outside Edea's house, go right and through the door and once in the room go through the other door down to the beach, here the scene will change and you'll see Ultimecia's Castle. To the north you will find a draw point containing some Triple Spells, stock up then continue North to a large chain which you can climb to the top, note that there are three portals along the way which transfer you back to the world map, giving you chance to get more items and refine your weapons etc. At the top you'll find save point and some stairs into Ultimecia's Castle. Save your game and proceed inside.
