Kingdom Hearts Mushrooms
I'll tell you where to find, and how to defeat a particular mushroom
Heartless.
White Mushrooms
Where to find: They generally appear in the following places:
» Traverse Town (Red Room)
There are about 3 White Mushrooms here. They
rarely show up though.
» Wonderland (Lotus Forest)
Just go forward from the entrance to see them.
But chances are you won't find anything since the rarely show up here.
» Deep Jungle (Camp)
They appear in this area more often than Wonderland
and Atlantica, but sightings are still quite rare.
» Agrabah (Treasure Room)
If you find some, they will most likely be
floating White Mushrooms. Sightings are rare.
» Atlantica (Sunken Ship)
Go inside the ship and dive to the lower deck.
But then they rarely show up here.
» Halloween Town (Graveyard)
You should see them near, or on the coffin.
But again, sightings are rare.
» End of the World
Go back one screen from the Final Rest area. There are
a lot of White Mushrooms here. (about 4 or 5) Not to mention the fact that
they appear almost all the time. So if you're looking for White Mushrooms,
this is the best place to be.
How to kill: These mushrooms give you hints on which magic you should cast
on them. So be sure to look closely. Here are the hints:
Shivering (this means they're cold) - Cast Fire
Bends down & begins to fan itself (they find it hot) - Cast Blizzard
Light on top of head - Cast Thunder
Floats in the air - Cast Gravity
Starts spinning around - Cast Aero
Stands still doing nothing - Cast Stop
Trips then falls (they imply that they're hurt) - Cast Cure
When you get it right, they drop various synth items -- sometimes rare ones.
Black Fungus
Where to find: They generally appear in the following places:
» Agrabah (Main Street)
Sightings of these mushrooms here are extremely
rare. In fact I only saw them once throughout my entire game.
» Halloween Town (Moonlight Hill)
If you don't find any, leave the screen
and come back until they appear.
How to kill: You can kill them instantly by casting Gravity magic. But in
order to make them drop Mystery Goos, I recommend that you kill them with
physical attacks. Be sure to equip Lucky Strike on all your characters.
Rare Truffles
Where to find: They generally appear in the following places:
» Neverland (Ship Deck)
Sightings of these Truffles here are extremely
rare.
» Monstro (Throat)
Once again, sightings are rare.
» End of the World
Go back one screen from the Final Rest area. There are
a lot of Rare Truffles here. (about 4 or 5) Not to mention the fact that
they appear almost all the time. So if you're looking for Rare Truffles,
this is the best place to be.
How to deal with them: What you're supposed to do is help them stay in the
air by juggling them, and according to Thegoblin187, here's what you should
do:
"First put Aeroga in your shortcut spell menu, cast it and run into a rare
truffle. It will put them in the air, then all that you have to do is stay
under them and every time they hit your spell they are popped back in the
air. You should put the spell in the quick menu so you can recast it without
going through all of your spells."
If you juggle them for about 50 times, then you'll have a very good chance
of getting a Mystery Goo.
Note: I myself have tried Thegoblin187's tip about the rare truffles, and it
works really well.
