This mission is not at all difficult, which is quite welcome if you had
trouble completing the last one. Simply clear out the enemies and capture
the summoning gates. Easy, right?

Well for this mission, your enemy has a soul crystal and you don't. Seems
unfair. Anyway, start off by taking out the group of enemies to the right
and then go for the ones in the middle. The last group is diligently
guarding the crystal, so send some ranged units to lure out some of the
guards. This should give you the opportunity to move in and attack the
crystal. So go on and do that.

The enemy levels for this mission will depend on your total game completion
rate. For prebattle setup, avoid putting in melee units since they will do
little good here. Focus on enlisting flying units instead, preferably
Wyverns. Then put in Carbuncles as well as Bombs. For rank 3 espers enlist
the most powerful one that you have, preferably Bahamut or Zodiark if you
have either of them on the Ring of Pacts.
For character gambits, make sure you take the time to balance between
offensive and support spells. Revive (Penelo, Llyud) and Protect or
Shell (Basch) being the most important. The Holy and Comet abilities are
good choices for offensive gambits.
This mission consists of 2 parts. For the first half, take out all the
Wing Wraiths first before aiming for the arms. When dealing with the arms,
get rid of the one with the staff first. It has super long-range attacks
that can hit you whereever you are. Once it's gone, deal with the other
arm. Always take out the Wing Wraiths before attacking the arms. Once the
arms are gone, aim for the core.
After that, the second half of this battle begins, with Vaan all alone.
Battle Feolthanos until your allies show up to help, which only happens
when Vaan loses a specefic amount of HP. When your much needed help
arrives, move Vaan out of the way and have your allies take it from here.
You can have Vaan perform his steal abilities from the backseat, to help
out everyone else if you wish.
