Clear out all the enemies guarding the nearby summoning gate, and capture
it afterwards. Once that's done, summon some additional espers. Then take
out all the enemies closest to your soul crystal. Capture the other gates
too if you can. Fortify your espers and replace the dead ones.
When you're ready, march forward into enemy territory, taking out any
opposition along the way. Wipe out the enemy troops guarding the soul
crystal then smash it to finish this mission. Also, it is a good idea to
focus on defeating the enemy leaders first, since doing so will keep the
remaining espers from going after your soul crystal.

The most important thing in this mission is to not allow any of the 3
probable informants to get killed. The other yellow dots on the map are
White Hare espers that will heal either you or the informants if needed.
You can try to defeat some of the hostile espers, but don't bother getting
rid of everything. Instead, head straight for the soldiers and talk to
them. The guy you are looking for is located at the northwest portion of
the map across the bridge. The mission will end once you get to him.

Eliminate the horde of Zombies and Vampyrs. There may seem like there is
a whole lot of them, but the truth is they are very easy to defeat, since
they have rather poor defense. Simply capture all the summoning gates to
keep the enemies from respawning. The mission ends when all the enemies
are eliminated.

You will not have access to any espers here. Bring along 2 melee characters
and 1 flying type, preferably Llyud. Also, having both Penelo and Kytes in
your party is a must. Don't forget to set Kytes' gambit to Blizzaga too.
Clear enemies and press the switches located on both sides of the area to
open the huge gates. A group of enemies will appear each time you unlock a
gate, so be prepared to eliminate them. As for the red switch at the end
of the area, go press the untouched switches in the area to complete the
red crystal. The switches you can activate should be shining.
Before opening the red gate, change Kytes' gambit to Firaga. Have your 2
melee characters move in and attack Elder Wyrm, Kytes cast Firaga while
Penelo stays back to heal your attackers along with your other character.
Back on the airship, talk to your companions if you like. They will tell
you that Filo and Kytes are nowhere to be found. So try to launch the
airship and your missing party members will come back.

All the enemies here are fire-elemental, so water espers are an obvious
choice for your army. Do not bring espers that are weak against fire
though. Also it is a good idea to include both Vaan and Basch in your
battle party, since ther are melee characters. Don't forget to set Kytes'
gambit to Blizzaga as well.
Eliminate the first group of Red Flans then capture the nearby summoning
gate. Summon some extra espers, especially Leviathan if you brought it.
After that, turn back and open the treasure chest for an ADAMANT VEST.
Continue towards the goal, and when you meet the Red Wyrms and Fire
Drakes, send your melee units to attack first with the others following
closely behind. The other two treasure chests contain an OAKWOOD LOG
and a SOUL POWDER.

Once again, majority of the enemy espers here are fire-elemental. So make
sure that your army consists of ranged, water elemental espers that are
weak to lightning. Though bringing Bombs is a very smart choice too. For
your rank 3 esper, pick Mateus.
Start off by getting rid of the enemies guarding the left summoning gate,
then immediately secure it. The northwest treasure contains an ADAMANTITE.
Eliminate more enemies to fill up your mist charge if you can. Capture
the right summoning gate too if possible.
Once Chaos advances towards you, hit it with all your water elemental
ranged units as well as Kytes' Blizzaga magick. When Chaos is gone, you
will have to deal with Mydia. Have some flying espers, preferably Bombs
head over to where Mydia is and battle her until they self-destruct.
