The Bouncer Review

This was the first game I ever played on the PS2 and it's by Squaresoft. I was like "Psh.. It's Squaresoft so the game HAS to be good!" So I went to my local Giant Eagle and rented the game, for 5 nights. I sat down in front of a small, old tv in the basement and placed the disk into my PS2. Damn did I enjoy what I got to do!

Optional Language for Voices?
Boy crickey yes! Unlike Final Fantasy X you can have JAPANESE voices in this game, as well as subtitles! I was overly enjoyed. I played through the game, in english and japanese. I seemed to like the Japanese better, IMO. The emotions are much more captivated in that language then our own. The dual language was a great inclusion for this game. People could either listen to Japanese or English voices. Yet, I still enjoyed the english voices. The actors were.. so-so on the lines of liking them. I'd say that this is a game to get if you actually WANT to get a game that has dual language in it.
Overall Optional Language Rating: 10/10

The Graphics are Stunning!
Yes, my dear friends, the graphics are superb. The characters are well made and the animation is smooth as silk. The game is mainly a fighting game, not really an RPG but it has an RPG taste to it. So, you could call it an RPG/Fighting game. The gameplay animation is close enough to the CG scenes and the battles are great. Square never ceases to amaze me in the graphics department. This games graphics won't outbeat some upcoming ones but this games graphics will ALWAYS amaze me.. I need to play the game again!
Overall Graphics Rating: 10/10

Is Music Everything?
Herumph.. The music was.. okay, in a way. The only song I liked was the ending. I wasn't to fond of all the music. Yes, yes.. I know. Although I DID like the music, sometimes it just got nerve racking. I would have to turn down the volume of the TV and just play through the game until I wanted to listen to the music again. Some people may have another view on the music but I'll stick with mine.. Yes, I enjoyed SOME of the battle music but.. I think I'll just stick with listening to the ending song from the game..
Overall Music Rating: 7/10

Can the game keep me Entertained?
Well.. yes and no. If your one for Squaresoft games then this one is for you. But if your one for longer games then it isn't. This game only really rungs for 2 hours. I beat in in 2 hours and 30 minutes. In the game you get to learn new skills and such, as well, to help you beat your enemies up. If all you care about is fighting and beating things up then you'll be entertained with the game. Although the game runs only for about 2 hours to 3 hours, you can continue your game with the data from the last and have your Life, Power and Defense all there and just keep raising it to the max. I was entertained by the game and maybe you will to.
Overall Entertainment Rating: 9/10

Must I talk about a Concept?
All this games concept is fight. Fight to save the kidnapped girl. All you do is go around, fighting guards and other enemies to save a girl Sion(who you play as) seemingly likes. Thats mainly what the concept is. Just fight.. for your right.. to party!
Overall Concept rating: 8/10

The Final Draw: 9/10
